Celebrate a Story of Success - 25 Years of Lectura Publishing House

Bright sunshine introduced a special anniversary event: Lectura, the European leader in market overviews and value orientations of mobile machinery looked back on its 25 years of company history.

Business partners from all over Europe mingled and you could hear a variety of languages: Russian, Polish, Dutch, Italian, Czech, English and naturally German. International companies such as Jungheinrich, Linde, Zeppelin, Wacker, Atlas Copco, JLG, Komatsu, Merlo etc. were amongst when Mrs. Dr. Thiel and her team welcomed all of them over coffee and cake in the NH Hotel in Nuremberg on Friday 24 July 2009 at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Dr. Thiel, CEO of the publishing house, had prepared a unique and unforgettable event. Four groups of guests were guided on little exploration tours through the old town of Nuremberg by professional tour experts. A reception in the marble hall by Mr. Dr. Roland Fleck from the Economic Department of Nuremberg was followed by a concertino of the world-famous Czech opera singer Martin Bárta, celebrating musical art at its highest level.

The official evening reception started with an outstanding buffet satisfying every culinary taste. A singing barkeeper duo, not only performing excellently but mixing superb cocktails at the same time, brought the music and atmosphere to enjoy.

The toy manufacturing company Bruder had created a miniature original construction site in the hotel yard consisting of sand and mini construction machines which were auctioned in the evening by the world-wide operating auctioneers from IronPlanet. The auction proceeds as well as further donations have been granted to the Active Playground (‘Aktivspielplatz Gostenhof e.V.’) in Nuremberg, which is an open recreational facility for school children aged from 6- 14.

An engaging video, especially created for the anniversary event, showed Lectura’s corporate development to a European market leader due to its expertise, energy and team spirit impressively.
New cooperations were announced e. g. with the Associated Specialized Publishers (‘Vereinigter Fachverlag’) and with John Deere. Many new relationships and acquaintanceships have been established. Merited staff members have been bidden farewell to retirement with little awards for their accomplishments.
